Du Monde is an intact original sears style craftsman with immense ceiling height, & surviving originality from entry to exit

Greetings Minneapolis & Saint Paul; Listing in Rare Form proudly presents: 🥁 Du⚜️Monde of 1912

A Stickley-era craftsman that is richly appointed in surviving originality throughout her historic interior. The home's extensive oak millwork rivals the very best examples from the period: her spec is of true wishlist stature. We are thrilled at the before and after in our execution and thankful for the owners trust in our work executed to present this 1912 bristol-craftsman.

Scarcities abound from Du⚜️Monde's sprawling front porch, to her formal transom & sidelight entry, to her vertical-milled, quartersawn banister. Entering the living room, one is greeted by a stem-to-stern glass-fronted bookcase with custom milled doors, and a pair of west-facing casement windows.

classic exposed truss soffits, with entry and exit porches!

Outdoor dining awaits on this sunset facing front porch.

Du⚜️Monde is an entertainer's delight as her kitchen and dining room are of a grand scale; well lit with original windows surrounding her gathering spaces, the interior is bathed in long light no matter the season. Nine-foot ceilings throughout the main floor lend graceful proportion to the home.

the living room must be witnessed to absorb her stoic energy, a truly inspiring space for your next chapter.

Remarkably Du⚜️Monde's surviving birch shaker cabinetry remains intact in their 114th year, a testament to good design and a solid build spec. Our craft trades added a paneled dishwasher, counter-depth fridge & custom violet tile backsplashes to ensure this stoic interior performs for her next steward.

Du⚜️Monde is a mood thanks to a complete and curated vintage lighting fixture scope:

  • halophane greets you in her westerly entrance porch

  • blown glass star pendant in entry foyer

  • deco era skyscraper in her kitchen

  • large scaled blue solar glass wedding cake in living room

  • porcelain floral sconce in her restored bath

The upper bath is freshly restored with refinished birch hardwoods and a coordinated paper and paint scheme. The preexisting original birch was covered in layers of linoleum that our trades deleted prior to restoration

The same recipe was applied to her easterly porch, which had linoleum tiles and thick paper backer glued over original Douglas fir that was 4 stage sanded to bring it a brilliant grain pop- followed by matte waterborne finish.

we’re extremely thrilled with this original kitchen, base cabinets, an inset panel dishwasher, and playful amaranth violet tiles finish this period-correct cooks kitchen.

the original washroom once served a family of six! It’s been renewed with original hardwoods restored, a vintage pedestal sourced by improvement co in period spec, birch vanity restored, and finished with a plaid paper and floral porcelain sconce.

a listing in RareForm staple:, the Bath is a vibe.

Du⚜️Monde has an wonderful attic that was recently closed cell foamed, and is ready for your expansion plans; and the basement is functional with a captain's washroom in a 70s motif.

Du⚜️Monde's easterly sun porch is wrapped in beadboard and lap siding, and overlooks an expansive 127' of green space – room enough for an urban farm! We’re extremely proud of our team in their tireless execution of this craftsman; the owner for staying with our plan to bring her back to life; and our Improvement Co. floor general Ms Fok for her immense dedication to scope and spec on another brilliant listing in RareForm example.

Offers will be reviewed on Sunday evening. Best of luck to you all.

the morning coffee porch faced east over her sprawling 130’ deep lot. Birch wide plank under laspstake siding gives the space an elegant and timeless feel.
